| 2 | Dust Storm | Wendover, Utah, US | The buildings at the historic WWII Wendover Airbase were used late in the wartime period for the development of the atomic bombs, Little Boy and Fat Man (dropped on Hiroshima & Nagasaki). Severe wind and dust storms frequent the area, picking up speed across the salt flats. This track was recorded in a quonset hut at South Base. |

| 6 | Montego Bay | Wendover, Utah, US | Five casinos sit at the juncture of Interstate 80 and the Nevada/Utah border. This recording documents the eruptions of noise from a bank of busy slot machines in the Montego Bay Casino of West Wendover, not to be confused with Montego Bay, Jamaica. |

| 7 | Swallows and Radar | Wendover, Utah, US | A revolving radar panel the size of a small billboard during a training session of the 109th Air National Guard at Wendover Airbase. During recording, a flock of sparrows became agitated at the presence of the fur windscreen covering the microphones in near proximity to their nest. Flying in a repetitive circular formation, the sparrows dive bomb the recorder. |

| 8 | Timpie Springs | Wendover, Utah, US | Timpie Springs Waterfowl Management Area shares a fence line with the Cargill solar evaporation salt ponds and processing plant at Interstate 80, exit 77. The area providing rest to a number of Avocets and Black-Necked Stilts, some of which are recorded here, along with many other birds depending on the season, lies approximately 25 miles directly north of the Skull Valley Indian Reservation, home to a portion of the Goshutes, whose tribal leader recently proposed leasing part of the reservation as a temporary nuclear waste storage facility. Timpie Springs also lies 38 miles north of the entrance to the Dugway Proving Grounds for chemical and biological weapons. |
